A report on demand trends in Asia in Q1 of 2016 as presented at the ASI Asia Pacific Television Conference in Singapore in May 2016. The focus of the report was on highlighting audience demand and preference for content within the various Asian markets.

While The Walking Dead was the top show in all of Asia during the first quarter of 2016, specific markets have different tastes: India likes political dramas such as House of Cards and Quantico, while other markets, such as Indonesia, prefer comedies like Master of None. Genre-based trends were also investigated, revealing that Japan has the most demand for dramas and that comedies in South Korea have a younger audience demographic than dramas. The change in top shows over time is examined, revealing that shows which were airing new episodes in the United States were popular at the same time in Asia.
