Demand for Stranger Things declined by 12% this week whereas demand for Mr. Robot only declined by 3%.
As a result, Mr. Robot overtook Stranger Things to become the most in-demand series in the United States, though the difference in demand between the two shows is very small.
In the first full week after the release of Narcos‘ second season, the title more than doubles in demand and becomes the third-most popular title overall ahead of Game of Thrones, but still remains the second-most in-demand digital series behind Stranger Things.
Many of the other digital original series in the top ten are the same as in previous weeks, but Yahoo’s Community has risen in demand, possibly in response to the release of its former star Donald Glover’s new series Atlanta. In addition, Amazon re-enters the top ten with The Man in the High Castle, whose second season will be released in December.
AMC’s Walking Dead series and HBO’s The Night Of remain in the overall top ten this week, but Ballers and Ray Donovan were supplanted by Narcos and Starz’s Power, which rose in demand over the past two weeks.
