Amazon Cancels 3 Shows—Are They Still on Track for 2018 Expansion?

Amazon is cleaning house for 2018, cancelling three comedy series: Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Jean-Claude Van Johnson, Jill Soloway’s I Love Dick and Tig Notaro’s One Mississippi: “This is part of a move towards bigger, wider-audience series,” an Amazon insider had told Deadline. According to Parrot Analytics data, Amazon’s five most-watched original shows in 2017 were: 1. The Man in the High Castle, 2. The Grand Tour, 3. Transparent, 4. Comrade Detective and 5. The Last Tycoon.
