Anson Mount reacts to strange new worlds being TV's #1 new show

20 May, 2022

Anson Mount reacts to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds becoming the most in-demand new show on television. Mount debuted as pre-Kirk Enterprise captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Discovery season 2. Now the adventures of Pike and his crew continue on the newest entry in the Star Trek streaming universe, Strange New Worlds.

Pike of course is not the only familiar Star Trek character getting new life on Paramount+ via Strange New Worlds. Ethan Peck’s Spock is along for the ride too, together with Rebecca Romijn’s Number One, Celia Rose Gooding’s Uhura and Jess Bush’s Christine Chapel. There are also some less-familiar but still intriguing characters on the show’s old-but-new incarnation of the Enterprise, including Melissa Navia’s Erica Ortega, Babs Olusanmokun’s Dr. M’Bega, Bruce Horak’s Hemmer and Dan Jeannotte's Sam Kirk (yes, the brother of James T. Kirk).
