Our newest TV ratings data utilizing Demand Expressions, which is a global measurement unit based on country-specific demand for television content across all platforms and devices, shows that Netflix’s Altered Carbon is United States TV’s No. 3 most in-demand program this week. The cyberpunk-mashup, science-fiction drama series has seen the first season surge, giving it 22.8 million average Demand Expressions for the week ending February 10.

In the overall chart, all but one title spiked in demand contrasted to last week. It is interesting to note that television series on hiatus received a minor boost in demand. Elsewhere in the top five, Comedy Central’s South Park reappeared in the chart after it has been reported that season 22 will likely premiere in late 2018.

This week’s ranking only listed one Digital Original title. Specifically, fans of NBC’s This is Us have known since the very first episode that Jack, the show’s dad, dies at some point. However, the way it happens has been a mystery until February 4’s show on Super Bowl Sunday. The family drama ranked #5 in the chart after drama surrounding his death certainly captured the audience’s attention.
