WandaVision became the most in-demand show in the world on February 5th following the release of its fifth episode. This achievement is impressive but it is important to not let global trends mask market-specific differences in demand for this show. Below we reveal the markets where WandaVision is most in-demand.
For the week of 15 – 21 February, the United States is the market with the highest demand for WandaVision. During this time it was 63.5 times more in demand than the average show here. Despite the globally high demand for WandaVision in the US, it has continued to trail other shows in this market.
Contrast this with markets such as the UK where WandaVision peaked particularly early. It became the most in demand show here on January 23 and has held onto that rank continuously since January 30th.
The global span of WandaVision’s popularity is apparent when looking at the markets where it is most in-demand. Five continents are represented by the top seven markets where this show is most popular. It is particularly notable to see that The Philippines and Singapore are among the top countries for WandaVision. Disney+ has not yet launched in these markets. It is scheduled to launch in Singapore on February 23rd – not a moment too soon based on Singaporeans’ demand for WandaVision. It may be wise to consider The Philippines as a priority market to launch the platform next.
