Courtney Williams joined Variety executive editor Debra Birnbaum to co-moderate this year’s Entertainment and Technology Summit where the rising costs of television production and marketing was a key theme: Netflix has shifted the balance of power in the television universe, pouring money into original programming and handing out generous straight-to-series orders. On the panel we also welcomed Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Content for YouTube, Craig Erwich, SVP and Head of Content for Hulu, Jason Kassin, co-founder and CEO of FilmTrack and Jeff Wachtel, President and Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.
