'Peacemaker' most streamed show in the world over 'The Witcher' and 'The Book of Boba Fett'

25 January, 2022

Eagly has eclipsed Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) as the world’s most loveable mascot now that Peacemaker is the most streamed show in the world. In fact, the HBO Max series was more watched last week than The Witcher and The Book of Boba Fett. We’re guessing those HBO execs can really taste it.

Data from Parrot Analytics revealed that the HBO Max series was the top digital original TV series in the world on Jan. 21 and 22, being 69.5 times more in demand than the average show worldwide. The series finished just ahead of Netflix’s The Witcher (which was 67.7 times more than the average series) and Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett (66 times more).

It should be noted that both The Witcher and The Book of Boba Fett are streaming on services with significantly larger subscriber bases than HBO Max. While Netflix said last week that it had 222 million subscribers worldwide, Disney+ reported 118 million global subscribers as of October. HBO and HBO Max, meanwhile, ended 2021 with a combined 73.8 million subscribers.
