Sweden genre and subgenre preferences

• Sweden had the third lowest share of demand for the drama genre in this report (51.7%). This was also the lowest share of demand for drama series across Nordic markets.
• Swedish audiences gave a greater share of demand to the crime genre (19.0%) than global
  audiences did in Q2 2024 (18.0%).
• The music genre struggled to break through with Swedish audiences. Only 3.1% of demand for shows was for the music genre, which is below the global share of demand for this content (4.0%).

• Paranormal series accounted for 3.0% of demand in Sweden in Q2 2024, the largest share of demand for this subgenre in this report.
• The spy subgenre reached its largest share of demand in Sweden in this report. 1.2% of demand for shows was for a spy series.
• Swedish audiences had the largest share of demand for science content in this report. 1.3% of demand for shows was for the science subgenre, above the global share of demand for these series (0.8%).

Sweden platform demand share and digital originals demand distribution

• Sweden was only one of a few markets where HBO original series had the third largest share of demand. 5.0% of demand for shows here was for an HBO original, greater than the global share of demand for these series (4.2%).
• Original series from a Discovery branded channel or platform accounted for 2.8% of demand in Sweden, the third largest share for these shows in this report and well above the global share of demand for Discovery content (1.5%).
• Sweden was only one of four markets in this report where Hulu ranked among the top 15
  platforms by demand share for its original series. 1.9% of demand for shows was for a Hulu
  original in Sweden.

• Several local reality series including Expedition Robinson (Sweden) and Du Är Vad Du Äter
  ranked in the 100 most in-demand series of the quarter in Sweden.
• Bolibompa, a local Swedish children’s series, ranked in the top 3 most in-demand children’s series in this market, beating out even global children’s hits like Bluey.
• High demand for the crime genre likely helped Tokyo Vice rank higher in demand in Sweden than in any other market in this report.
