LOS ANGELES - September 2, 2026 - The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) today announced a partnership with Parrot Analytics, the global authority on media, entertainment and sports intelligence. The collaboration opens with an audience data analysis of the field surrounding this year's NALIP Awards and continues as an ongoing study of how series, films and talent perform across platforms and markets.

For more than 25 years, NALIP has built its reputation as the organization Latino creatives turn to for access, development and industry standing. The NALIP Awards are the clearest expression of that reputation: a recognition earned, not campaigned for. This partnership gives that recognition a second foundation, pairing NALIP's cultural authority with an independent measure of the audience impact its honorees are having.

"Latino creators are building companies, developing intellectual property and reaching audiences across platforms and borders," said Diana Luna, executive director of NALIP. "Parrot Analytics gives us an outside, global view of what we already see up close: that the artists we honor are shaping what audiences watch, not just what critics discuss. We want to honor the full body of an artist's work, the reach it has earned, and work that connects with audiences at scale, not just being talked about. That's the standard we want our community to aspire to and for honorees to be proud of the recognition they hold."

"NALIP has established itself as the premier organization advancing Latino Excellence across film, television and digital media," said Jaime Otero, VP Partnerships at Parrot Analytics. "Our data traces how attention builds around a series, a film or talent, often before the industry itself takes notice. Paired with NALIP’s cultural authority and industry expertise, that intelligence brings independent, global audience context to its Awards programming."

The partnership pairs NALIP's cultural, community and industry expertise with Parrot Analytics' independent, global perspective on audience demand and engagement. Unlike traditional industry research that primarily measures representation and participation, the NALIP Awards will use audience intelligence from Parrot Analytics to examine how talent and storytelling are actually resonating in the marketplace.

Drawing on relevant global audience behavior data across 100+ markets, nominees are evaluated through three key measures: audience demand, the ability of their work to travel across markets, and sustained audience momentum over time. These signals are weighted according to each award category, giving NALIP a data-informed lens to recognize the talent and projects demonstrating measurable audience relevance and global reach. NALIP will retain sole authority over Awards decisions while drawing from Parrot Analytics’ insights.

NALIP Awards & Media Summit, October 21 to 23, W Hollywood

The partnership debuts alongside NALIP's flagship event of the year. The NALIP Awards open on October 21, recognizing the artists and creators whose work has changed the industry, not just worked in. Tickets are on sale now. This year's honorees, selected for the reach and resonance of their work, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2026 NALIP Media Summit follows on October 22 and 23, convening the leaders driving the industry's next decade. This year's Summit examines the rise of the Independent Economy: the ecosystem of independent film and TV, global co-productions, entrepreneurial producers, capital and emerging distribution pathways now setting the industry's terms.

More than a conference, the NALIP Media Summit functions as a marketplace, where ideas, capital and partnerships are made, not just discussed. Tickets and full programming are available at www.nalip.org.
