While there has been much buzz around Disney+ growing the Marvel Universe with its new series such as WandaVision, here we look at how another very successful superhero universe has been faring. February will be a big month for Arrowverse fans as a new series, Superman & Lois is released on February 23.
The Arrowverse consists of several connected DC superhero series which mainly air on The CW. Below are the most in-demand Arrowverse series for 2020:
The Flash was by far the most in-demand Arrowverse show in the US for 2020 at 51.5 times the demand of the average series. It was also the most in-demand superhero series globally in 2020, finishing at the head of a pack of DC and Marvel shows as well as digital originals like The Boys and The Umbrella Academy. Already 6 seasons in, this show clearly has stamina for the long run.
Looking at demand for these series across 2020, The Flash has remained the top Arrowverse series for the entire year. Arrow concluded its eighth and final season in January 2020. At the time of its finale, it was the second most in-demand Arrowverse series. It is interesting however that the number 2 spot has been held by four different series depending on when a season finale occurred. It remains to be seen how the new Arrowverse series, Superman & Lois, ranks among other shows in the franchise.
