In a play for new users, Apple just announced a deal with Verizon that will make it easier to subscribe to its services.
Verizon announced on Friday a plan called One Unlimited for iPhone, which will include the Apple One service bundle. Apple One lets subscribers enjoy Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ without advertising interruptions. The Verizon offer, which starts at $50 per line, will also include unlimited premium data and Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband.
Apple and Verizon previewed some exclusive content on Apple One as part of the announcement. Features include spacial audio on Apple Music, an enhanced listening experience meant to rival other streaming competitors, as well as games that can only be found on Apple Arcade like “Jetpack Joyride 2.” Original Apple+ TV series will also be in the offering, like the upcoming Charlie Hunnam thriller series “Shantaram” which debuts October 14. It's based on the best-selling novel that follows an Austrailian convict as he escapes from prison and flees to India.
