Top 10 Digital Originals:
Instead of analyzing global TV demand, in this post we take a look at the U.S. domestic television market in isolation: In a clean sweep for Netflix, the SVOD platform’s original series have been the the most popular across all OTT platforms in the US over the last 7 days.
From nostalgic shows such as Stranger Things, reboots such as Fuller House, superhero content such as Daredevil, to animated series such as Voltron: Legendary Defender — Netflix continues to have original content that is the most in-demand in the US right now.
Stranger Things is the top digital original again this week, followed by Orange is the New Black and BoJack Horseman (which we had anticipated to grow in demand from last week).
Top 10 Overall:
Netflix’s Stranger Things continues to dominate audiences demand. It tops both charts as not only the most in-demand digital original, but is also the second most in-demand show overall, across platforms, in the US. Audiences continue to express very high demand for Stranger Things as they discover, engage with and consume this 80’s inspired Netflix original.
Preacher and Mr. Robot are also some of the most in-demand shows right now, as they are in the top 5 this week, having recently aired new episodes.
The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones continue to top the overall chart being consistently in-demand amongst US audiences, despite not currently being on air. This showcases a very everlasting fan-base for this content all year round.
New to the chart this week is America’s Got Talent, Ray Donovan and Steven Universe — highlighting growing audience demand for these shows over the last 7 days.
