Greece Digital Original Genre and Subgenre Preference

• Just over half of demand for digital originals in Greece this quarter was for a drama original. The 50.8% share of demand in this market makes it the second most drama-loving market in this report behind only Korea.
• Greek audiences had one of the smallest shares of demand for digital original children’s content in this report. The 2.0% share for the genre was well below its global share of demand (3.9%).
• Greece was one of the top 3 markets with the largest share of demand for digital original horror content. The 2.2% share of demand for the genre here was behind only the US and Switzerland.

• Mystery drama ranked higher in Greece than in any other market in this report. It was the 7th most in-demand digital original subgenre here.
• Five of the ten most in-demand digital original subgenres in Greece were drama subgenres. Five markets in this report had this many drama subgenres in the top 10.
• Animated comedy was the 8th most in-demand digital original subgenre in Greece this quarter. This was the only animated subgenre to make it into the 10 most in-demand subgenres in Greece this quarter.

Greece Platform Demand Share and Digital Originals Demand Distribution

• The share of demand for originals from Disney+ has actually decreased in Greece this quarter from 16% inJuly to 14.3% in September.
• In Greece, the share of demand for content from other platforms not broken out here (4.0%) was the second smallest of markets in this report.
• The share of demand for HBO Max originals has seen strong growth in Greece this quarter, increasing from 5.5% in July to 7.6% in September.

• Loki topped the ranking of most in-demand digital original shows in Greece in Q3 2021. It had 13.2 times the average series demand.
• Servant, from Apple TV+, resonated with Greek audiences this quarter. The show had over twice the demand of the average series and ranked as the 49th most in-demand digital original here–a better rank than any other market in this report.
• Only Murders in the Building had high demand in Greece this quarter (3.9x) and fell just short of the top 20 as the 21st most in-demand digital original here.

Greece Platform Demand Share for Drama & Action/Adventure Digital Originals

• Greece was one of three markets in this report where Hulu originals made up a greater share of demand than Amazon Prime Video originals in the drama genre–12.1% and 11.6% respectively.
• HBO Max’s share of demand for digital original dramas in Greece has remained consistently in the 3-4% range since the platform first launched.
• In the share over time chart it is apparent that Hulu’s share of demand in the drama genre jumped at the end of the quarter. Specifically it increased to a 15.4% share of demand for drama originals in September, which is a +43% increase from August.

• The share of demand for HBO Max original action/adventure series saw strong growth in Greece over Q3. With a 20.6% share of demand in September, demand for HBO Max’s originals surpassed even Netflix.
• The share of demand for action/adventure originals from Paramount+ in Greece (2.2%) fell slightly below the global share of demand for this platform’s action/adventure originals (2.4%).
• Disney+’s share of demand for action/adventure originals has slid throughout the quarter after peaking at a56.7% demand share in July.
