Parrot Analytics provides television audience measurement for the new world of TV: Our global demand measurement system can gauge the worldwide popularity of TV series across both linear as well as non-linear platforms.

This week in the United States, Money Heist (La Casa De Papel) is capturing the hearts and minds of audiences as the crime heist drama series moves to the #1 spot as the most popular digital original series. Compared to demand changes from last week, Money Heist gained 21% in popularity in the week of 8 to 14 April. Netflix’s On My Block had 18.6 million Demand Expressions on the back of a second season renew on April 13; this pickup marks the second coming-of-age comedy to earn a second season in as many weeks – and comes after the cancellation of Everything Sucks.

Elsewhere in the bottom five, dormant titles like Marvel’s Daredevil (ranked #7) have had little changes in terms of demand. Netflix‘s Trailer Park Boys (ranked #8) reappeared in the chart as new season aired on March 30.

Our television audience measurement system also reveals that USA Network’s WWE Monday Night Raw is new to the top 10 overall chart, and is taking the tenth position with the appearance of Ronda Rousey and others, causing a stir. Elsewhere NBC’s Saturday Night Live had slightly less demand in contrast to ABC’s American Idol. But the sketch series had the highest bump in demand week-on-week. We also see the usual favorites on our overall list, with Spongebob Squarepants still holding the top position. The children’s animation series from Nickelodeon had 12% more demand compared to The Walking Dead.
