TV Show Popularity US Top 10 (August 13 – August 19, 2017)

For the fourth consecutive week, Netflix’s Ozark has remained the most in-demand digital original series, but demand for the crime drama has dropped 38% compared to last week, according to our TV show popularity measurement system. In the first week after its release, Marvel’s The Defenders has overtaken Stranger Things as the #2 on the digital original series chart with roughly two times the demand of the former top show. The popularity of the new Marvel superheroes series has likely spilled over to Iron Fist, which ranks ninth this week.

In the overall title ranking the changes were minor per our TV show popularity measurement, demand for HBO’s Game of Thrones increased slightly compared to last week. It now has over three times the demand of the second-most popular title, AMC’s The Walking Dead. After its significant increase in demand, Ozark is joined by fellow Netflix digital original Marvel’s The Defenders in the overall top ten series.
