United States TV Series Popularity Top 10 (August 6 – August 12, 2017)

14 August, 2017

This week, the TV series popularity (which we refer to as “demand”) for Netflix‘s Ozark has dropped 34% compared to last week. Since the launch of Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later on August 4, the satire comedy series has been propelled to #2 on the digital original series chart, moving eight places in the last seven days. Demand for Netflix’s Castlevania and The Handmaid’s Tale from Hulu both fell by roughly 30% compared to last week.

Netflix’s House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black have both recently released new episodes but despite this have experienced a decline in demand this week, in contrast to Stranger Things which has increased in demand. Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender, an old favorite, reappeared in the chart as new episodes return on August 4 per our TV series popularity measurement.

In the overall chart, the top five positions remain unchanged compared to last week with CBS’ Big Brother and Showtime’s Shameless leaping to ninth and tenth place, respectively.
